Ένας ονειρικός αμπελώνας ακριβώς δίπλα στο κέντρο του Ηρακλείου. Το κτήμα Scalarea βρίσκεται σε απόσταση μόλις 8 χλμ από το κέντρο της πόλης του Ηρακλείου και 4 χλμ από τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο της Κνωσού και αποτελεί το στολίδι της αμπελουργικής ζώνης Αρχάνες.
Το Κτήμα Scalarea με τον αμπελώνα «Φανταξομέτοχο» διαθέτει τις βάσεις για την περαιτέρω ανάδειξη του κρητικού κρασιού παγκοσμίως μέσα από την παραγωγή κρασιών υψηλής ποιότητας. Σε μια περιοχή που φημίζεται για το οικοσύστημα της αλλά και για την παράδοσή της στην αμπελοκαλλιέργεια, το κτήμα με τον συγκεκριμένο αμπελώνα έχει καταφέρει μέχρι σήμερα να αναδείξει το δυναμικό των ντόπιων ποικιλιών.
Καλύπτει μία έκταση 66 στρεμμάτων και απλώνεται σε μια πλευρά ενός χαμηλού λόφου, που το προστατεύει από τους θερμούς νότιους ανέμους του Λιβυκού Πελάγους, ενώ, από τα βόρεια είναι «ανοικτό» στα ευεργετικά μελτέμια του Κρητικού Πελάγους, που αποτελούν πηγή δροσιάς για τα αμπέλια.

Great, informative view to this winery. Knowledgeable staff, very good wines.
We booked an excursion here before a wine tasting and picnic, and it ended up being one of the more romantic parts of our trip. The weather was rough and we were worried the experience would be ruined, but they went out of their way to move everything indoors with a beautiful view overlooking the vineyard so we could still enjoy the picnic without sitting out in the wet soil.
The food was authentic and delicious, but the wine was absolutely the highlight. Rich, full-bodied, and extremely flavorful. Each wine was explained in detail along with what it paired well with, but they also encouraged us to explore and form our own opinions instead of making it feel overly formal. The tour itself was also very well done and gave a lot of insight into the history of the vineyard and what makes their wine unique. I would absolutely recommend adding this to your trip.

My husband and I did the culinary experience which included a tour of this beautiful vineyard, a in-depth explanation of their wines and the history, a 5 course cooking class, and wine pairing. The sommelier was full of knowledge and answered all of our questions (she also loved Justin Bieber which deserves a shout out!!!). The food was amazing and while we were the only 2 at this class, the attention to detail went above and beyond. Worth every cent! 10/10!
