Diamantakis Winery is a modern, family-owned business located southwest of the city of Heraklion, in the village of Kato Asites, at the foothills of Mount Psiloreitis, at an altitude of 450 meters. The area’s unique microclimate, combined with the family’s long-standing tradition in viticulture, formed the foundation for its establishment in 2007. With respect for the land and the wine heritage, the winery produces wines that showcase the place and offer authentic tasting experiences on an international level.
The privately-owned vineyard, spanning 150 acres, is cultivated responsibly using sustainable practices, with an emphasis on the native grape varieties of Crete, such as Vidiano, Liatiko, and Mandilaria. The harmonious connection of these varieties with the unique terroir of the region leads to the creation of high-quality wines with authentic character and strong identity, which have been distinguished in international competitions.
