Douloufakis winery is one of the most important wineries in Crete. Not because of it's size ( medium size winery in Crete) but for the genuine and charismatic winemaker Nikos Douloufakis who is the responsible person for the re-birth of the most important variety in Crete Vidiano.
We were hosted by Georgios during our visit. His kindness, passion, and extensive knowledge of the winery’s wines made the experience truly memorable.
As for the wines, they are undoubtedly of outstanding quality. Crafted from Crete’s most important indigenous grape varieties, they are exceptionally well made and express the character of the island beautifully.
