The 8th Corfu Food & Wine Festival continues its journey in 2026 through three thematic pillars: Gastronomy, Cycle, and Roots, highlighting gastronomy as an experience of culture, sustainability, memory, and human connection.
Since 2020, the Festival has followed a different path, focusing not on mass appeal but on the essence of hospitality and a deeper acquaintance with Corfu, through activities that bring together residents, visitors, communities, organizations, and different generations.
As part of the thematic section “Cycle,” an open experiential action dedicated to the circular economy, sustainable food management, and food waste reduction took place on Friday, May 15, at the Scout House in Faliraki.
The event was organized by the Corfu Food & Wine Festival in collaboration with the Municipality of Central Corfu and the Diapontian Islands, within the framework of the European project CIRCUS of the Interreg IPA ADRION program, and was mainly aimed at students, children, and families of Corfu.
The event was a great success, with the participation of students, residents, and foreign visitors to Corfu, who watched the presentations with interest, took part in the experiential activities, and learned in practice how food, nature, and daily life can be connected to sustainability and respect for the environment, while also enjoying the local flavors and products of Corfu.
