state Constantin Gofas was one of the highlights of our time in The Peloponnese.
From the moment we arrived, Sophia made us feel genuinely welcome. She was the perfect hostess—charming, knowledgeable, passionate about the wines, and refreshingly free of any sales pressure. Her focus was simply on making sure we enjoyed both the wines and the experience.
The visit began with a short tour of the winery that was informative and interesting without ever becoming tedious. It provided just the right amount of insight into the winemaking process before we settled into the tasting.
The seven wines we sampled ranged from excellent to absolutely outstanding. We left with several bottles, including the remarkable "Orange," an unusual Kidonitsa varietal with an incredible aroma and character; a beautifully dry rosé that we couldn't resist opening that very evening; and the Cabernet Sauvignon–Agiorgitiko blend "Romeo and Juliet," a wine of such complexity and depth that it was hard to believe it was a single glass.
The tasting room itself reflects the winery's approach—professional, sophisticated, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Everything about the experience felt polished yet authentic.
A special thank you to Nick from Loutraki Shuttle & Transfers for recommending the estate, to Sophia for making our visit so memorable, and to the winemakers at Gofas for allowing us to share a small part of their cellar and passion. We would happily return and highly recommend Estate Constantin Gofas to anyone visiting Nemea.
